Developed by FABON Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Nashik (India), this fully automatic feed plant integrates advanced mechanical and control technologies to ensure uniform mixing, perfect pellet formation, and consistent output — making it ideal for medium-scale poultry farms and commercial feed manufacturing units. With a rated capacity of 1000 kilograms per hour (1 ton/hr), the FABON poultry feed plant is suitable for producing feed for broilers, layers, chicks, ducks, quails, and other livestock species. Every component is designed for durability, ease of operation, and low maintenance, ensuring reliable 24-hour performance under industrial operating conditions. Process Flow of FABON 1000 kg/hr Poultry Feed Plant 1. Raw Material Handling and Cleaning The process begins with raw material intake such as maize, soybean meal, rice bran, sunflower cake, fish meal, and mineral mix. A pre-cleaner and magnet separator remove dust, stones, and metal impurities, ensuring ingredient purity and protecting downstream machinery. 2. Grinding (Hammer Mill Section) Raw materials are uniformly ground in the FABON Hammer Mill, driven by a 40 HP motor, achieving consistent particle sizes between 200–500 microns. This ensures better digestibility, improved FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio), and homogeneity in the final feed. 3. Mixing Section The ground material is conveyed to the FABON Ribbon Blender or Double Shaft Paddle Mixer, which accurately blends all ingredients, including vitamins, amino acids, and additives. Mixing uniformity reaches Coefficient of Variation (CV) ≤ 5%, matching international poultry feed standards. 4. Pelletizing Section The homogeneous mixture is then fed to the FABON Pellet Mill, equipped with a 60 HP motor and a conditioning system. Steam conditioning enhances binding, texture, and digestibility. The ring die or flat die (customizable from 2 mm to 8 mm) produces dense, glossy, and uniform pellets suitable for different poultry categories. 5. Cooling Section Fresh pellets exit the mill at ~85°C and are cooled in a Counterflow Pellet Cooler using ambient air. Cooling reduces the temperature to room level and moisture to ≤12%, ensuring pellets are durable, crack-free, and safe for storage. 6. Crumbling and Sieving For chicks and grower birds, pellets are reduced into smaller, uniform crumbles using a FABON Crumbler Machine. A vibratory sieve ensures only properly sized feed passes through, enhancing product uniformity and market value. 7. Bagging and Packaging The final feed is transferred to the weighing and bagging section, where it is packed into 25 kg or 50 kg bags using a semi-automatic or fully automatic packing machine. This ensures precise weight, reduced wastage, and improved efficiency.
